Job Description

The Procurement Manager manages the procurement department which ensures healthy operation of all systems for obtaining, storing, distributing/dispositioning and quality control of materials and services. The Procurement Manager relies on experience, knowledge and defined processes to ensure that all deliverables are accurately produced and all standards of processes are met.

Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the following duties:

• Ensures purchasing per purchase requests
• Operates the periodic inventory and ordering system
• Provides data on inventory levels as needed
• Provides appropriate inventory conditions as needed (i.e. ESD, humidity, temperature, flammability, etc.)
• Provides costed Bill of Materials (for quotes, analysis, etc.)
• Operates the noncomforming product system
• Completes receiving inspections of materials (conformity, depreciable assets, maintenance and perishables, etc.)
• Provides shipping and mail delivery between locations within the company
• Provides shipping to external parties via company vehicle or 3rd party shipping service
• Ensures cost reduction efforts as needed
• Provides data on product attrition rates as needed
• Provides specifications and other information needed by suppliers
• Generally manages suppliers including evaluation and selection Creates project plans, schedules and budgets

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience in electronic components purchasing or similar
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and project management skills
